The design of ogival palmettes enclosing delicately drawn flowers
punctuated by çintamani is one which was used in other textiles of the
period such as voided velvets and brocades, see for example Louise W.
Mackie, The Textile Museum, The Splendour of Turkish Weaving,
Washington D.C., 1974, pp. 46-50.
