Founded in 1951by Gerald and Barbara Ziegler . G. Ziegler Custom Rug Cleaning, as it was called back then, was one of only three rug cleaning plants in Connecticut. Gerald was an active member of the National Institute of Rug Cleaning. Ziegler Preservation Cleaning Specialists specializes in the cleaning and repair of Orientals and area rugs and many of the textiles found in homes of today. Phillip Ziegler has worked in the cleaning industry for over 28 years, is a IICRC certified "Master Textile Cleaner" and is certified by the Restoration Industry Association as a "Certified Rug Specialist". Phillip is an active member of RIA and is a volunteer council member with the National Institute of Rug Cleaning.

We have 60 employees, which include two (2) Certified Rug Specials (CRS) – there are only 41 in the country - and one Chemical Engineer. We have cleaned and restored over 5,000,000 rugs for more then 500,000 customers. We pick up and deliver with our own trucks, performed by our own employees and have rugs shipped into us from all over the country.
