Rasht or as we call it Resht is
the administrative center of Gilan Province in
Iran. It is a major city of more than 2 million
people on the southern shore of the Caspian
Sea.While not a major center of carpet weaving
Rasht is known for embroidered piecework
textiles. Typically we see covers, horse covers,
wall trappings and tents. |
