Classification: Persian Rugs / Iranian
Rugs These images and description were
sent to me by a Danish collector as part of a
group of 5 rugs for evaluation. The Seirafian
signature commands a premium price in the market
as long as it is authentic. That was the question
is this a Seirafian?

This rug has been attributed to Master Hassan
Seirafian by the workshop of the Late Master
Sadegh Seirafian. After examining the description
and images I defer to the Seirafians and fully
concur in that attribution. A detailed look at a
particular rug attributed convincingly to Sadegh
Seirafian gives us a group of rugs that we can
use to authenticate other rugs.
