this rug to the last quarter of the 19th century and a number of people
feel this is a late date for a piece that dates to the first quarter of
the 19th. "A good many people have looked at the big Kazak (Wendell
Swan, Paul Mushak, two or three whose names I can't remember at the
Textile Museum) and everyone has dated it to the first quarter of the

The Kimbles are wonderful rug
collectors. They have good knowledge and excellent color sense which
have resulted in a wonderful collection.
