| Despite clear and compelling evidence the
system allows questionable people to hold
security clearances. While it has been lax for
years under President Bush all caution was thrown
to the wind. Espionage for a "friendly"
power would not disqualify a person from access
to our nation's secrets.
In 1982 Feith was fired from the
National Security Council by Judge William Clark
due to allegations of handing over classified
material to Israel.
How then did Feith get a security
clearance to be George Bush's Under Secretary of
Defense for Policy? As Under Secretary, Douglas
Feith has to deal with highly classified
materials. He was given a Security Clearance. An
accounting should be made of how he was cleared,
why he was cleared, who applied pressure? How
does a man who was fired for betraying his
country get a Security Clearance so that he may
have the opportunity to betray his country again?
Another Question that should be answered is:
"Did President Bush know Doug Feith was
fired for betraying his country and did he
appoint him anyway?
How many times did Michael Maloof lose his
security clearance?
Let us count: Once for forgetting
to tell the Pentagon that he married a Foreign
National. Maloof is said to have gotten it back
by the intercession of a Senior Pentagon
Civilian. I am betting Wolfowitz
or Feith.
Maloof is said to have lost it a
second time in 2003 for "Rogue
Operations" and de-emphasizing Al Qaeda and
following the Likud line on Iraq. Apparently
there was intercession again because he was back
in the OSP after that.
Did Wolfowitz pull strings to get
Michael Maloof back on
the team a third time. As of the 5th of November
2004 Maloof was still on the Pentagon payroll.
The DoD should come clean about the Maloof
clearances. What were the "Rogue
Operations" that got Michael Maloof in
trouble? Was it sabotaging the el Hage/Iraqi
peace initiative with Mossad point man Richard Perle. Was it
related to the meetings involving a man the CIA
is reputed to consider an Israeli Agent of
Influence Michael Ledeen and Savak/Mossad
mischief maker Manucher Ghorbanifar? What about
the gun running in Africa? This guy is like a bad
pulp novel.
In 1970 the FBI recorded a
wiretap of Richard Perle
discussing classified information with someone at
the Israeli Embassy. An obvious question is why
wasn't Perle prosecuted? But the bigger question
is how does Richard Perle get a security
clearance to serve on the Defense Policy Board.
The FBI is currently
investigating an espionage ring that dwarfs
anything that Jonathan Pollard ever did. Douglas Feith, Richard Perle, Steven Bryen
Larry Franklin, Harold Rhode, Peter W. Rodman and Captain William Luti USN
Retired are all objects of a probe.
