Candidates for President - Qalibaf, Karrubi, Larijani,
Rafsanjani, Ahmadinejad, Rezaii
Mostafa Moin MD. has been dropped from the ballot for
the Presidency because of his opposition to the
Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This is much
like the Loyalty Oaths that were instituted in the US to
screen out enemies of the state. The basis of the Islamic
Republic of Iran is Velayat-e Faqih.
reformists who support Velayat-e
Faqih such as Mehdi Karrubi
are allowed to run but candidates such as Moin who tour
the country speaking out against the Government are
disallowed. Think of it this way, What would happen if
the President of the US refused to say yes to the oath of
office?
Dr. Moin is an internationally
recognized pediatrician. He also has a long record of
service to the Republic most recently as Minister of
Science, Research & Technology and before that as
Minister of Culture & Higher Education under
President Khatami. He also served in the first,
third, and fifth Majlis. Moin is the first choice of the
Iran Participation Front (IIPF) as their candidate for
President in the 2995 election. Dr. Moin has strong
support from the liberal wing of the Reformist movement.
