| The modern period in
Iran has been dominated by two main
personalities, Mohammed Reza Pahlavi often called
the Shah and the Ayatollah Khomeini who is often
called the Ayatollah or the Imam. I shall
try to speak of things as they are and not as how
I wish them to be. If Iran has a theocracy then
it should be Iran's choice. Foreigners should
respect the wishes of the people and never try to
impose their own ideology.
