Lot Description A fine Kurk Kashan carpet,
Central Persia
The shaded indigo field with scrolling vine
issuing palmettes, leaves and floral sprays
around rust and light blue double concentric
floral medallions with pendants, enclosing bold
centrepiece, spandrels with stylised floral vases
and floral motifs, in an indigo border of bold
arabesques and delicate flowering vine between
yellow and rust floral arabesque stripes, outer
reciprocal skittle-pattern and plain stripes,
slight localized wear on cord edges, and re-sawn
cut at one end otherwise good pile
