The PIJ, or Palestine Islamic
Jihad. Formed among the militant Palestinians in
the Gaza Strip during the 1970s, this group is
committed to the creation of an Islamic
Palestinian state and the destruction of Israel
through holy war. The PIJ regards the United
States as an enemy because of its support for
Israel.
The PLO or Palestinian Liberation
Organization was once more radical then it is
today. The PLO transitioned from Terrorism to
Government and today no longer merit's inclusion
on a terrorist list.
The PLO is a union of many
closely aligned groups with similar aims.

well as independent members. The real power is
heald by the 15 member Executive Committee that
meets regularly and functions much like a board
of directors.

Pirmozen, lawmaker from Ardebil province said in
this regard: Eight years should be
sufficient for anyone to implement his policies.
All politicians no matter where they come
from in the world have a political
expiration date. The country needs new blood and
fresh faces in its political leaders. The
possibility of his third term in office would
only exacerbate the brain drain
problem in the country, since young people would
reach the conclusion that political power is
exclusively reserved for a select few people in
Iran. Pirmozen is a reformist deputy in the
conservative-dominated legislature. (Rafsanjani)
