Notes on Mrs. Zahra Rahnavard Ph.D

Mrs. Zahra Rahnavard Ph.D, was a Professor of art and political science at several Universities prior to becoming the first Iranian woman named university chancellor in revolutionary period. She became chancellor of al-Zahra university Iran's women's University in 1998

Rahnavard is the mother of three girls and her husband is Mir-Hossein Moussavi a former prime minister of Iran who is spoken of as a leading candidate for the Presidency in 2005.

Chancellor: Mrs. Zahra Rahnavard Ph.D, an author, an activist in politician, a sculptor, is the professor of the following graduate courses at Alzahra University: The History of Art, Sculpture, Political Sciences. Currently, she is an adviser to the president of IRI. Dr. Zahra Rahnavard has an undergraduate degree in Sculpture and a graduate degree in the Research of Arts as well as a master and Ph.D in Political Sciences. She has written several publications, books and articles on art, literature plus women and political issues.
