Notes on Netanyahu, Clinton, and Blackmail at Wye River

Despite claims to the contrary Israel has conducted an aggressive pattern of spying in the United States for years. Spying in the US appears to have been coordinated by the Minister for Political Affairs. These spies appear to include Jeremy Issacharoff, the head of the Foreign Ministry's strategic division, Ron Prosor, Acting deputy director general. (chief political adviser to Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom.), Yaki Dayan of the Foreign Ministry, and Franklin's handler Naor Gilon.

Ron Prosor - Minister-Counselor for Political Affairs In July 1998, Ron Prosor assumed the position of Minister-Counselor for Political Affairs at the Embassy of Israel in Washington, D.C. Mr. Prosor was a member of the Israeli delegation to the Wye River talks. Before arriving in Washington, Mr. Prosor served as the Spokesman for the Embassy of Israel in London, England (1995-1998) during the first ever state visit of IsraelŐs President Ezer Weitzman to the United Kingdom. Mr. Prosor also served at the Embassy of Israel in Bonn, Germany during unification for four years (1988-1992) and held responsibility for the new federal states in the former East Germany. Mr. Prosor was Deputy Director of the West European Division and Director of the Operation Center (1992-1995) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem. Ron Prosor was born in Israel in 1958. He served in the Israel Defense Forces as an Artillery officer, rising to the rank of Major in the reserves. Minister-Counselor Prosor has a Masters Degree (cum-laude) in political science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is fluent in German and English. Israel Seeks Libyan Ties - Aluf Benn, Gideon Alon, and Yoav Stern The Foreign Ministry has launched a diplomatic initiative to develop ties with Libya. Foreign Ministry official Ron Prosor recently met in Paris with an Arab official to investigate the possibility of establishing ties with Tripoli, though officials in the Prime Minister's Office Tuesday said "it doesn't appear serious." According to a report Tuesday in the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Siyasa, senior Israeli and Libyan officials also met in Vienna last Friday at the American embassy and that a delegation of Israeli officials would visit Libya during the second half of January.
