Tehran, Jan 15, IRNA -- Minister of Interior
Abdolvahed Mousavi Lari on Saturday attended the
third meeting of nationwide advisors to governors
on women`s affairs, which was held in Tehran.
Speaking at the meeting, he underlined the
importance of the concept of such terms as the
`citizens rights`, `democracy` and public
participation in current affairs`. Photo shows a

Abdolvahed Mousavi-Lari seved as
Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance
(1982 - 1992). He served under Minister Khatami
and resigned when Khatami was forced out by
Conservatives who objected to his liberal
policies for radio, tv, and newspapers. When
President Khatami's Interior Minister Abdollah
Nouri was impeached by the Majlis Mousavi-Lari
was named Minister of the Interior. Related
