Harold Keshishian's
Textile Rug Morning Part 1

Harold
Keshishian on the right with Daniel Walker
the new Director of the Textile Museum.

While Walker is the new director and in many ways the
future of the Textile Museum Harold is not really the
past as much as he is part of the bedrock upon which the
Museum is founded.

HK first became a Trustee in 1969.

Of course if anyone is up to the task of guiding the
TM into the future it is Daniel Walker. He is among the
most serious scholars in the field of rugs.

I have to be careful of what I say about R. John Howe.
He is a humble man and just wants me to say that he has a
keen interest and quite a few rug books, but that he
makes make no claims about "knowing" much of
anything about rugs. So for the sake of his humbleness
and modesty I will not point out the excellent work he
does on Turkotek or how bright he is.

Here is John working on a photo essay that no doubt
will be posted on Turkotek in no time. I also offered him
any of my images if there is a picture that does turn
out.
