Technical Analysis:
Warp: Wool, ivory, Z2S
Weft: Wool, natural brown and some ivory, 2Z, 2 shoots (often only 1
shoot)
Pile: Wool, 2Z, asymmetrical open to the right
V/Hcm: 17-19/9-10
Selvedges: Some turkish knots, 3 pairs of warps wrapped together with
natural brown wool, additional overcast in blue and red in lower 5in.
Ends: Short kilim, hemmed and sewn, complete kilim back with brocade
decoration
Colours: Aubergine, rust-red, medium blue, blue-green, apricot, ivory
and dark charcoal-brown

Völkerkunde in Munich (Haack, Hermann, Echte Teppiche, Munich, 1956,
